Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Manager to assist our Tree Division. The ideal candidate will help oversee daily operations, ensure that tree care services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This role requires hands-on coordination with crews, scheduling of work, equipment oversight, and problem-solving on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling & Planning Coordinate daily and weekly schedules for tree crews. Organize job assignments to maximize efficiency and ensure timely completion. Adjust schedules dynamically to accommodate weather, priority changes, and urgent work orders. Crew Management Supervise and support tree crews in the field. Conduct site visits to monitor performance, safety, and adherence to company standards. Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to crew leaders and members. Equipment Maintenance Oversee maintenance and repair of all tree division equipment (chainsaws, chippers, lifts, etc.). Ensure proper inventory and readiness of tools and safety gear. Coordinate with mechanics/vendors for outsourced repairs. Operational Oversight Respond to one-off issues such as damages, special work orders, and client escalations. Maintain accurate records of job completion, equipment usage, and incident reports. Collaborate with office staff to ensure clear communication and documentation. Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines. Conduct safety audits and ensure crews are trained in proper PPE use and emergency response.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in tree care operations or landscaping production management. Strong knowledge of arboriculture practices (ISA Certification or Arborist experience a plus). Proven leadership ability and excellent communication skills. Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in small engine and heavy equipment repair. Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
