Job Summary We are seeking an Environmental Restoration Team Lead to supervise and work alongside a field crew on environmental restoration projects. You will lead habitat restoration, stormwater maintenance, and invasive species control efforts in natural areas across central Florida. Responsibilities Apply herbicides to invasive vegetation using backpack sprayers, utility vehicles, or ATVs Maintain stormwater ponds and drainage systems to ensure proper function Assist with habitat restoration and environmental enhancement projects Supervise and train field crew members to ensure high-quality, safe work Carry and operate equipment (up to 40 lbs) in rugged outdoor environments Work in water up to 36″ deep and on uneven or vegetated terrain Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain safety protocols Comfortably work around native wildlife (alligators, snakes, insects, etc.) Adapt to hot, humid, and physically demanding outdoor conditions Qualifications At least 1+ year of Team Leadership experience in environmental restoration, natural resource management, or landscaping Ability to lead and motivate a small team in the field Comfortable using standard landscaping and herbicide application equipment Physically fit and able to carry loads, walk long distances, and work in water Valid driver’s license Must have or the ability to obtain FDACS Commercial Pesticide Applicator License within 30 days of hire Ability to swim and work safely around water required Why Join Us?
