This role is essential for maintaining the health and growth of our tree nursery, ensuring that our plants thrive in a safe and productive environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a willingness to learn about tree care and maintenance practices. Duties Perform routine tasks related to the care and maintenance of trees, including watering, fertilizing, and pruning. Assist in tree trimming and shaping to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Operate bucket trucks safely for high-reaching tasks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Utilize GIS technology to track plant health and growth patterns effectively. Participate in planting new trees and maintaining existing stock within the nursery. Engage in landscape maintenance activities, including lawn care and general upkeep of the nursery grounds. Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Experience Previous experience in gardening or tree care is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals. Familiarity with tree trimming techniques and equipment operation is advantageous. Experience operating bucket trucks or rigs is a plus. A background in landscape maintenance or GIS technology will be beneficial for this role. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team are essential qualities for success in this position.
