Grounds Operation Specialist Summary:
The Grounds Operation Specialist plays a key role in supporting tree care and removal operations. This position assists the tree crew with ground-level tasks, ensures worksite safety, and helps maintain equipment. Ideal candidates are hardworking, safety-focused, and interested in building a career in arboriculture or landscaping. Duties/ Responsibilities Assist with tree removal, pruning, and cleanup tasks on job sites Operate and maintain ground-level equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, blowers, and ropes Clear brush, wood, and debris from the work area Support climbers and bucket operators by managing rigging and communication Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials Perform daily vehicle and equipment checks to ensure readiness Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors Provide excellent customer service on residential and commercial properties Qualifications Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred. Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, at heights, and in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a team. Previous experience in tree care, landscaping, or a related field is a plus. Availability to work 10-hour days, 40+ hours per week, and travel for extended periods (weather-driven).
