Position Description:

Aquatic Vegetation/Fisheries Technician Availability:

Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Office/Location:

Calera, AL (just south of Birmingham) The Aquatics Herbicide Applicator will perform field operations associated with the survey, inspection, and treatment of lakes, ponds, and reservoirs for the control of aquatic weeds and algae. The Applicator will be trained to recognize problem weeds and to apply the appropriate herbicide to control or eliminate the aquatic weeds. We are currently seeking a technician who enjoys working outside, likes to travel, a great attitude, and one who has pride in themselves and their work.

Responsibilities:

Fertilizing ponds, liming ponds, fish stocking, and other pond and lake services Highly motivated individual that works well with others and on their own Will occasionally travel out of state from time to time but usually for a day or two Working outdoors with boats, four‐wheel drive trucks, and other equipment Organized, detail‐oriented, outgoing, and pleasant Great attitude and strong work ethics Desire to work in an environment that rewards top performers

Job Requirements:

College education preferred Must possess a valid Alabama Driver’s License Mechanical abilities and experience with boats, trucks and equipment is very helpful We perform criminal background checks, motor vehicle record checks, DOT physical, and drug screening Moderate computer skills
