Interested applicants should report to any State Workforce Agency (SWA) career center for help in contacting the employer. Referral by a career center provides program guarantees and protections that may not be available to a worker not referred. Workers must have valid identification for I-9 preparation when they report to the employer location to begin work. The employer may use the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services E-Verify Program to verify employment eligibility. C. Workers referred to this job by a SWA should report to a career center between 5 and 9 work days before the job start date to verify the job start date is the same. Job Offer:
4 general Agricultural Equipment Operators.
Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks. Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information. Walk beside or ride on planting machines while inserting plants in planter mechanisms at specified intervals. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products. Position boxes or attach bags at discharge ends of machinery to catch products, removing and closing full containers. Irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Record information about crops, such as pesticide use, yields, or costs. Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops. Set up and operate irrigation equipment. Inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress. Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops. Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping. Sow grass seed, or plant plugs of grass. Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems. Dig, cut, and transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs. Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water, and prune plants, shrubs, and trees, using gardening tools. Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Do a pre inspection on any equipment before use, check oil and water levels for any deviations. Make sure Hydraulic sockets not being used are covered. Clean out fertilizer from equipment before storage. Grease all grease points regularly. Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met. Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.

Withholding:

Work rules will be found in the Clearance Order. E. Contract period is February 1, 2025 to November 15, 2025.
Hours:
48 hours per week
Days/Hours:
Monday thru Saturday 8 hours per day.
Work may be offered but not required on Sundays and holidays. Extra work hours may be offered based on weather and other conditions. F. Employer will refund workers living outside commuting distance the reasonable transportation and subsistence costs to report for the first day of work on the 50% date. Will provide workers who complete the contract period the reasonable cost of transportation and subsistence to return to place of recruitment or to report to the next H-2A job. G. Housing and Board.
Housing:
Will provide free housing for workers who arrive from outside daily commuting distance.
Family housing is not available.
Meals (Board):
Employer will provide a free and convenient kitchen and transport workers to a grocery store at least once per week. Workers will purchase and prepare their own meals.
Housing meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. Rules regarding living accommodations will be found in the Clearance Order. Transportation provided by the employer meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. H. Prohibition against preferential treatment of aliens: The employer’s job offer must offer to U.S. workers no less than the same benefits, wages, and working conditions that the employer is offering, intends to offer, or will provide to H-2A workers. Job offers may not impose on U.S. workers any restrictions or obligations that will not be imposed on the employer’s H-2A workers.
