Job Purpose:
Maintains, repairs and upgrades Wynmoor Community irrigation systems. Ensures that all landscape materials receive appropriate irrigation.

Responsibilities Include:
Implements all verbal and written work orders. Provides labor and technical knowledge of the installation, repair and maintenance of irrigation systems. Confers with peers and/or supervisor regarding issues within the irrigation systems. Maintains irrigation schedules and overall system efficiency. As necessary, employs the use of watering methods other than subterranean irrigation systems.
Examples:
Water hoses, mobile watering trucks and the like. Ensures all watering rules imposed by the South Florida Water Management District are strictly followed. Routinely checks systems for breaks or water waste while conforming to watering rules. Cleans, maintains and ensures that irrigation heads are working properly, and flow is not restricted in any way.
Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of modern irrigation principles and practices as they relate to water conservation rules, pump stations, wells, electric and hydraulic controllers, industry tools and technologies. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, residents and department heads. Initiative and resourcefulness of handling problems. Capable and willing to lift up to 50lbs as needed. Walking and bending for extended periods in the heat may be required. Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license. Must pass drug test screening and background check. The applicant must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Free drug workplace
