⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Irrigation Technician (Jacksonville) Lawn Crafters compensation: $23 to $28 per hour, depending on experience employment type: experience level: mid level job title: Irrigation Technician Experienced Irrigation Technician needed, must have a clean drivers license and transportation. Dependable. 35-40+ hours per week. Monday thru Friday. Must have a strong background in installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems, pumps and sprinkler systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both residential and commercial irrigation, with a thorough understanding of electrical components and water management practices. Key responsibilities:
Install new irrigation systems, including layout, trenching, piping, wiring and controller setup. Maintain and troubleshoot existing irrigation systems, including diagnosing leaks, electrical faults and low-pressure issues. Repair and replace sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, backflow preventers and pumps. Perform seasonal irrigation system maintenance, including spring start-up and winterization. Test and adjust systems for optimal performance and water conservation. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and manufacturer manuals. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system adjustments.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience as an irrigation technician
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, controllers, wiring, pumps, and water delivery systems.
- Familiarity with major brands such as Rainbird, Hunter, and Toro
- Ability to read irrigation plans
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
