Landscape Horticulturist Wacca Pilatka 6202 Wesconnett Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32244 Job Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Horticulturist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant knowledge garden care and maintenance, with experience in , landscape maintenance, and groundskeeping. This role involves working closely with various plant species, ensuring their health and growth while contributing to the overall aesthetic of our gardens and landscapes. Responsibilities Understand and care for a wide range of plant species including native plants Utilize hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, and maintaining plants. Minor irrigation modifications and system check Conduct regular inspections of plant health, identifying pests or diseases and applying appropriate treatments. Oversee and execute garden care activities, including pruning, weeding, fertilizing, herbicide application among other tasks Assist in landscape design and installation projects to enhance outdoor spaces. Maintain accurate records of plant growth, treatments applied, and maintenance schedules. Collaborate with team members to develop best practices for sustainable horticultural techniques. Develop strong rapport with maintenance clients Skills Proficient in plant species identification, growing requirements and care Experience with hand tools and power tools used in horticulture and landscaping. Knowledgeable in lawn care practices and garden maintenance techniques. Strong skills in groundskeeping activities including mulching, edging, and seasonal clean-up. Excellent observational skills to assess plant health and detect issues promptly. Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
