Contracts Subassembly Full Job Description Job Summary :

The Irrigation Technician will monitor and test new installations, troubleshoot and repair problems, will perform pipe and valve replacements, foresee potential problems, which will required to have the specialty skills needed to solve them. Duties /

Responsibilities :

Conduct pipe and valve replacements Pre-fabricate sub-assemblies as per sample provided by supervisor Assisting trenching, digging when needed. Learn how to cut and glue lateral line pipe, fitting, cut and assemble drip Conduct and record detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems. Troubleshoot and repair problems, monitor overall operation of the irrigation system. Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/ Abilities :

Able to work as a team player to complete repairs A good knowledge of trenchers, multi-meters, wire locators, ditchers and pipe sizing are also essential. Ability to create and read site map-colored charts/legends. Mechanically oriented Identify and request materials like a pro. Layout systems, place heads, and calculate flow rates with precision. Assess systems for water savings and enhanced efficiency. Troubleshoot, repair, and replace controllers, including rewiring and wiring pump starts. Track wires, locate faults, and trace paths like a pro. Operate, program, and replace indexers with ease. Master two-wire controller operations and decode shorts like a champ. Diagnose and replace residential pumps, configure pressure tanks, and ensure proper settings. Monitor sites, control flows remotely and excel at data collection. Clearly communicate with property managers and customers, building trust. Create comprehensive bid tabulations for residential and commercial proposals.
