Job Description
Assistant Grower Superior Superfoods Miami, FL 33127 The Assistant Grower (AG) will report to and take direction from the Lead Grower on most of their duties. The AG must also be self-motivated and take initiative on daily tasks. The AG will be working in a fast-paced dynamic environment which will require the ability to report and make decisions in real time and be available outside of working hours as the need arises or in emergency situations. The AG will support the creation of resources, developing and reviewing standard operating procedures, policies and operational guidelines. The AG will participate in the training/development and education of additional staff members. Responsibilities Participate in developing and implementing rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance the Superior Superfoods’ mission, vision, goals, and objectives. Documentation and continued development of internal processes. Assist Lead Grower with grow schedules, personnel, and quality assurance practices. Assure compliance with local, state, and federal growing requirements. Accurate data entry in inventory tracking systems. Will be required to be on-call and to respond to emergency situations at any time. This may include scheduling issues, potentially covering a vacant shift, facility issues and/or human resources requirements. Manage and coordinate the daily grow operations, including: organizing seed shed, potting, plant transfers, watering, cleaning, maintenance, harvesting and schedules/ timelines for each product. Ensures constant updates are provided to Lead Grower. Continually reviews current systems for operational efficiency. Responsible for abiding by and enforcing Superior Superfoods Safety Program. Continuously improves the skills, knowledge and morale of all employees; creates an environment where the entire team does the same. Other duties as assigned.
