Wednesday•Sunday, 7 AM•3 PM (35-40 hours per week) About CROS Ministries For 46 years , CROS Ministries has been feeding the hungry in our community. We operate food pantries throughout Palm Beach County and Indiantown, with a strong focus on fresh produce distribution. Through our Gleaning Program , volunteers recover surplus produce from farms and distribute it to feeding programs and meal kitchens. Job Overview The Gleaning Program Assistant supports the Gleaning Program Director in ensuring safe and successful gleaning activities. This role also involves equipment and vehicle maintenance and the coordination of volunteer efforts in the field. Key Responsibilities Assist the Director of Gleaning with program operations Supervise and direct volunteers during gleaning activities Prepare and load trucks with necessary equipment Transport equipment and produce between sites, county-wide Follow and maintain equipment and vehicle maintenance schedules

Qualifications & Experience Education:
High School Diploma or GED Experience:
5+ years of relevant work experience
Agricultural Background:
Knowledge of crop production, harvesting, and post-harvest handling is a plus
Volunteer Management:
Experience working with volunteers is a plus
Forklift Certification:
Prior certification is a plus; must be able to obtain certification
Age Requirement:
Must be 21 years or older Skills & Requirements Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record and at least one year of U.S. driving experience and reliable transportation Must be able to pass a background check Strong teamwork and communication skills, including public speaking ability Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks Familiarity with safety protocols in farm environments is a plus Basic math skills Bilingual (Spanish and/or Haitian Creole) is a plus Physical & Work Environment Requirements Lift and move 50 lbs. repetitively , up to a height of 4 feet Work in various weather conditions (rain, heat, dust, noise, etc.) Navigate uneven farm terrain and drive long distances to rural locations Operate a pickup truck in farm fields Work weekends and adjust to a fast-paced environment with diverse groups Employee Benefits 8 vacation days & 8 sick days per season About CROS Ministries’ Mission CROS Ministries fights hunger in Palm Beach and Martin Counties through community partnerships .
