The company is currently seeking trained irrigation technicians as it expands north and south of the Tampa Bay area to provide maintenance and management services in the growing number of largescale residential communities. We are looking for an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with irrigation systems, as well as provide preventative maintenance services. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Technical Requirements Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be willing to submit to a routine background check. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial irrigation, including 2-wire systems. Ability to read and interpret irrigation designs and as-builts. Ability to understand and interpret aerial photographs. Basic understanding of soils and how soil type affects irrigation duration and frequency. Basic understanding of ET and the effects of climate on irrigation duration and frequency. Familiar with software applications, remotes, programmers, etc. as they relate to maintenance activities. Basic understanding of hydraulics as related to irrigation design and modifications. Basic understanding of application rates, distribution uniformity and efficiency. Familiar with safety protocols relating to the irrigation industry. Ability to monitor and track company vehicle maintenance. Comfortable working independently on large job sites and as part of a team for larger projects. Preferred Requirements IA certifications Certifications from irrigation manufacturers/distributors Knowledge of pumps
