Job Description
Farm Hand/Equipment Operator John Bridges Farm Brinson, GA 39825 Peanut, cotton, and sweet corn farm. This position is for people with the skills to do jobs such as Cultivating, planting, fertilizing, spraying, harvesting, repair work, etc. Room for upward movement and leadership positions. “`Duties“`
- Operate and maintain various types of equipment and machinery
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
- Monitor and adjust production processes to ensure efficiency and quality
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and products
- Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications “`Experience“`
- 5+ years row crop experience preferred.
- Experience running planting, spraying, and harvesting cotton and peanuts.
- Preferred experience operating peanut shaker, cotton picker, peanut dump cart, peanut picker.
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery or equipment is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting and repairs
- Experience in a growing, gardening, or animal husbandry environment is a plus
