Interested applicants should report to any State Workforce Agency (SWA) career center for help in contacting the employer. Referral by a career center provides program guarantees and protections that may not be available to a worker not referred. Workers must have valid identification for I-9 preparation when they report to the employer location to begin work. The employer may use the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services E-Verify Program to verify employment eligibility. C. Workers referred to this job by a SWA should report to a career center between 5 and 9 work days before the job start date to verify the job start date is the same. Failure to do so may disqualify the worker from the assurances of this Job Order. Worksites are located in in Calhoun & Grenda Counties in Mississippi. The housing is in Calhoun County Mississippi. D.
Job Offer:
3 general farmworkers. Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. Clearing ground of rocks, sticks, & roots by hand, clear brush and trees with chainsaw. General
field & fence maintenance. Prepare ground for planting. Use wood to build and repair boxes for digger. Manually weeding fields by hand or using hand tools. Participate in irrigation activities. Set up,
operate, and repair irrigation systems. Drain water from fields with hand tools and shovel when needed. Load & unload boxes on trucks, trailers, or sweet potato harvesters. Do minor repairs, maintain
and clean all hand tools and mechanical equipment prior to and after use. Repair existing barns and potato shed. The workers will use tools like hoes, hammers, air gun. Workers may be asked to
operate vehicles, farm equipment, drive all tractors (in the field), and implements on farm including hipper, disk, dual, chisel, plow, potato trans planter, bush hog, skid steer, forklift, potato digger, water
trailer to water plants, and any other equipment related to planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. Safety training for use of farm equipment and tractors will be provided. The ability of an employee to
safely operate machinery will be left to the discretion of management. To ensure the safety of all employees, those interested in operating machinery must be able to communicate with and adequately
follow instructions given by management. Management reserves the right to restrict employees from operational duties who do not show proficiency to effectively communicate with management and
may therefore place other employees’ safety in risk. Workers may be asked to do welding and torch work when needed. Planting Sweet Potatoes – Covering potatoes with use of bedding machine &
cover, punch holes, and remove plastic and paper from plant beds. Cut slips by hand with knife, and place in boxes to load & unload onto trucks. Walk behind potato trans planter and fill in slips by
hand. Riding mechanical trans planter and loading slips in planting cups devining plants by hand. Workers will also perform plant dipping.
Harvesting Sweet Potatoes:
Use of mechanical digging
equipment to dig potatoes. May harvest sweet potatoes by hand with use of buckets. Must be able to sort, grade & pack potatoes by size quality or type. Load and unload boxes on trucks trailers or
sweet potatoes harvesters.
Vegetables:
May also plant and cultivate the following: peas, watermelons, beans, squash, okra, peppers, tomatoes, and corn, and cotton. May drive the company’s vehicles
to transport workers to fields and grocery store. Pay – Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR): $14.83 per hour guarantee. ¾ Guarantee is in effect.

Weekly. Employer provides tools/equipment.
Withholding:
Federal Income Tax, Social Security and Medicare, and any deductions agreed to by the worker in writing. Work rules will be found in the Clearance Order. E. Contract period is April 15, 2025 to November 10, 2025.
Hours:
40 hours per week
Days/Hours:
Monday thru Friday 8 hours per day. Work may be offered but not required on Sundays and holidays. Extra work hours may be offered based on weather and other conditions. F. Employer will refund workers living outside commuting distance the reasonable transportation and subsistence costs to report for the first day of work on the 50% date. Will provide workers who complete the contract period the reasonable cost of transportation and subsistence to return to place of recruitment or to report to the next H-2A job. G.
Housing and Board:
See ETA 790. Meals (Board): See ETA 790. Housing meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. Rules regarding living accommodations will be found in the Clearance Order. Transportation provided by the employer meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. H. Prohibition against preferential treatment of aliens: The employer’s job offer must offer to U.S. workers no less than the same benefits, wages, and working conditions that the employer is offering, intends to offer, or will provide to H-2A workers. Job offers may not impose on U.S. workers any restrictions or obligations that will not be imposed on the employer’s H-2A workers. This does not relieve the employer from providing to H-2A workers at least the same level of minimum benefits, wages, and working conditions which must be offered to U.S. workers. I.
