We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cannabis Cleaning Technician & Trimming Assistant to support our cultivation and processing operations. This dual-role position involves maintaining sanitation standards across the facility and assisting with post-harvest processes such as hand-trimming, machine-trimming, and product preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning Technician Duties:

Sanitize and clean cultivation and processing areas, tools, and equipment. Follow strict cleanliness and sanitation protocols to comply with local and state regulations. Safely handle cleaning chemicals and use appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment). Maintain logs and documentation of cleaning schedules and procedures. Remove waste and debris from work areas regularly. Assist in general facility maintenance and upkeep.

Trimming Assistant Duties:

Hand-trim cannabis flowers with attention to quality and consistency. Operate trimming machines (if applicable) and perform post-machine touch-ups. Sort, weigh, and package trimmed products according to company standards. Identify and report any product quality issues to supervisors. Maintain cleanliness and organization in trimming and drying rooms. Ensure all tools are cleaned and sanitized between batches.

Work Environment:

Indoor facility with varying humidity and temperatures. Frequent exposure to strong odors and plant material. PPE and adherence to safety protocols are mandatory.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Skills/Competencies required:

• Knowledge of large-scale commercial plant cultivation, including but not limited to, nutrient requirements, growing media, light requirements, temperature control, and airflow. (preferred) Must have Mississippi Cannabis work permit: (Required) https://www.southernskybrands.com/regprocess/
• Experience with compliance systems. (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail, especially when dealing with plant health and data-tracking.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with office and production employees.
• Ability to produce work quickly, accurately, and independently.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment to accomplish company objectives with either direct or indirect authority.
• Excellent prioritization, planning, organization, time management and multitasking skills.
• Active listening and effective verbal and written communication skills,
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office or Gsuite products and other related technical software programs.
• Must pass background and drug screening

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Ability to work in a large-scale cultivation and harvesting environment, including but not limited to: Standing and walking at least eight (8) hours per day. Reaching and bending, including but not limited to accessing and care of plants on a multi-level growing platform. Performing repetitive work motions and fine hand manipulation/motor skills and dexterity, including but not limited to use of hand tools and computer keyboards. Excellent vision is necessary to write and read printed materials and computer screens and to examine, trim, and otherwise care for plants. Ability to use carts, ladders, dollies, and other equipment to assist in accessing, moving, or shelving items. Ability to communicate by oral and written means in an appropriate business manner and have cognitive skills to understand and effectively carry out instructions and job duties. Lifting up to 30 pounds unassisted.
