job title: Barn help, part time. Looking to hire a motivated, reliable individual to help with barn chores. Chores include mucking stall and paddocks, cleaning & filling water buckets, turning horses out, and other farm chores as assigned. Looking for someone familiar with horses who is organized and a self-starter. Barn is off Route 10 in Newport. We ask you to be efficient with your time, that you work to get the chores done in a timely manner. No cellphones while working. Must be comfortable working with horses and dogs. Hours are flexible, mornings or afternoons, Monday- Sunday 2-3 hours each day and 4-6 days per week. You can set your schedlue. Once a you set a schedule you will be expected to keep it. We would ideally like someone flexible that is willing to cover occaisionally on extra days. You will be expected to work holidays if it falls on your normal workday unless time off is requested 14 days in advance. You need to be unafraid of weather or working in it. This job is rain/snow or shine. Must be proactive, communicative, and dependable. Must have reliable transportation. Nonsmokers only.
