Farm and Cannabis Field Crew Member Rural Resurgence

Maples Rd, Little Valley, NY 14755 Description of farm operation Rural Resurgence LLC is located 50 miles south of Buffalo in a rural town called Otto. We grow a diversified mix of ecologically grown vegetables and have a NYS Micro license for Cannabis. We use regenerative farming methods for the production of our crops, focusing on building our soils. We were certified organic growers for over 25 years and continue to use organic practices to produce our crops. We sell vegetables at the Elmwood Bidwell and East Aurora farmers’ markets and are selling our small batch living soil cannabis brand, B-side Cannabis, in many of the area dispensaries. Responsibilities Our field crew members are responsible for a variety of tasks on our farm. What kind of work can you expect to be doing? planting, harvesting and weeding in fields and greenhouses washing, sorting, packing, labeling greenhouse work including: transplanting, seeding, trellising, soil preparation mowing, insect and disease scouting and management, irrigation and other farm duties as needed We like self-motivated problem solvers, people who are reliable and dependable, and who enjoy working outside and with their hands. Previous farm labor, greenhouse, gardening or commercial cannabis cultivation experience are preferable. This is a seasonal position. Part time and/or full time positions are available (now-November or December). Potential year round work is available for the right candidate. Monday-Friday work week.
Requirements:
Experience on farms and in the legal cannabis industry preferred.
Being flexible:
daily duties change depending on the weather! Enjoy physical farm work, and being productive. NYS drivers license Wage rate $18-20 per hour.
