Farmhand 1760 Homestead Farm 5412 Sound Avenue, Riverhead, NY 11901 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our team on a historic Toxin Free farm. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for agriculture. The Farm Hand will work closely with farm management to ensure the health and productivity of crops and livestock. Responsibilities Assist in the daily care and management of animals, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring their health. Participate in planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops in the greenhouse and fields. Maintain cleanliness and organization of barns, animal enclosures, and work areas. Assist with record keeping related to animal care and crop production. Experience Previous experience in farm operations or agricultural settings is preferred. Skills in equipment repair and maintenance are highly desirable. Experience with animal handling is a plus. Familiarity with greenhouse operations and plant care techniques is beneficial.
