Anticipated period of employment: 07/28/2025 to 11/30/2025This job requires a minimum of 3 months of verifiable prior experience working on a vegetable/melonfarm handling both machine and manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvestactivities. Workers must be able to safely perform all duties, manual as well as mechanized, withaccuracy and efficiency. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 60 lbs.

Crops/Commodities:

Vegetables and melons, including, but not limited to, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet corn, pumpkins. This job requires a minimum of 3 months of verifiable prior experience working on a vegetable/melon farm handling both machine and manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Workers must be able to safely perform all duties, manual as well as mechanized, with accuracy and efficiency. Plants, cultivates, harvests and packs vegetables. Works on planter, plants roots, seeds, and bulbs. Workers may spread or remove plastic or other groundcovering and drip tape from fields. Weeds, thins, plants. Transplants plants, riding on transplanter or by hand. May set poles and wires for vine plants. Workers must also stake/tie plants. Workers will trellis and prune plants. Picks, cuts, lifts, or pulls crops to harvest them. May tie vegetables in bunches or top them. Considerable stooping and kneeling is required. Care must be taken to prevent damaging produce and plants. May assist with irrigation; apply agricultural chemicals: herbicides and insecticides and applying fertilizer.
