Job Description
The farmworker position includes duties associated with the planting, cultivation, harvesting, and packing of commercial sod and grass seed; weeding and hoeing of cotton, corn and peanut fields; farm, field and shed maintenance, sanitation, and post-harvest cleanup as well as duties related to the deployment and maintenance of in-field irrigation. This work can require standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds for long periods of time outdoors in all weather conditions. This work requires adherence to important safety and quality standard operating procedures and the ability to work quickly and consistently alongside fellow workers with a positive, professional, team-based attitude and a consideration for the safety and health of fellow workers. Alternate work may be offered.
Pay. Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR): $16.08 per hour .
¾ Guarantee is in effect.

Employer provides tools/equipment.
Withholding:
Federal Income Tax, Social Security and Medicare, State Income Tax if required, and any deductions agreed to with worker.
Work rules will be found in the Clearance Order. E. Contract period is March 15, 2025 through December 15, 2025.
Hours:
40 hours per week
Days/Hours:
Monday thru Friday 7 hours per day, Saturday 5 hours.
Work may be offered but not required on Sundays and holidays. Extra work hours may be offered based on weather and other conditions. F. Employer will refund workers living outside commuting distance the reasonable transportation and subsistence costs to report for the first day of work on the 50 % date. Will provide workers who complete the contract period the reasonable cost of transportation and subsistence to return to place of recruitment or to report to the next H-2A job. G. Housing and Board.
Housing:
Will provide free housing for workers who arrive from outside daily commuting distance.
Family housing is not available.
Meals (Board):
Employer will provide a free and convenient kitchen and transport workers to a grocery store at least once per week. Workers will purchase and prepare their own meals.
Housing meets the requirements of Federal, State and Local regulations. Rules regarding living accommodations will be found in the Clearance Order. H. Prohibition against preferential treatment of aliens: The employer’s job offer must offer to U.S. workers no less than the same benefits, wages, and working conditions that the employer is offering, intends to offer, or will provide to H-2A workers.
