Farm Hand/Laborer Better Life Farms Birchwood, TN 37308 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about agriculture and animal care, with a strong willingness to learn and contribute to the daily operations of our farm. This role involves a variety of tasks that support the overall functioning of the farm, including animal husbandry, equipment operation, and general farm upkeep. Responsibilities Provide care for animals, including feeding, cleaning out water troughs, cleaning stalls, providing hay, cleaning coops, and monitoring health. Assist in the management of livestock and ensure their well-being through proper handling and care. Operate hand tools and farm equipment safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance and repair on fencing and gates. Engage in gardening activities, including planting, weeding, and harvesting crops. Conduct heavy lifting as required for various farm operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the barn, tack room and surrounding areas. Assist with holding of animals for vet visits and farrier visits Assist with Pasture rotation and preparation of animals for pickup/delivery Qualifications Experience with equine care and other livestock is preferred but not required. Familiarity with animal husbandry practices is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and performing basic repairs is a plus. Strong skills in animal handling to ensure safe interactions with livestock. Ability to perform heavy lifting and engage in physically demanding work. A willingness to learn new skills related to farming operations is highly valued. Previous experience in gardening or crop management is beneficial.

Experience operating equipment such as:

Tractor, Bush Hog, Mower, Weedeater, Truck and Cattle Trailer If you enjoy fresh air, early mornings, and working with animals, we’d love to hear from you!

Must:

• Have dependable transportation
• Be able to lift 50+ lbs & work outdoors Have experience with cattle and other livestock
• Ability to work in extreme weather
