Tractor and equipment operator RAZ Development New Market, TN 37820 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tractor Operator to join our agricultural team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in operating heavy equipment. This role involves managing various farming tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of farm machinery, and contributing to the overall productivity of our agricultural operations. Duties Operate tractors and other heavy equipment for various farming activities, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. Perform routine maintenance on tractors and farm machinery to ensure optimal performance. Utilize basic math skills to measure and calculate areas for planting and irrigation purposes. Supervise and assist in the training of new operators or farm workers as needed. Monitor crop growth and health, providing care for animals when necessary. Use hand tools and forklifts for loading, unloading, and transporting materials around the farm. Implement irrigation practices to ensure proper watering of crops. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy equipment operation is essential. Familiarity with farm machinery operations and maintenance is preferred. Basic math skills are required for measuring fields and calculating needs for irrigation.
