04/17/2025 Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish in Hialeah, Florida is hiring for a Plant Manager to oversee the property of the parish which includes a large church building, adjacent activities hall, multiple residences, and a large school campus comprising of multiple buildings, a gymnasium and sport fields. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day needs and strategic planning of the property, supervising the maintenance and grounds team, and reporting to the parish’s Operations Manager. The Plant Manager performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Master detailed knowledge of all buildings and operations in parish.
Keep facilities/buildings in good working condition.
Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
Plan and oversee all repair, construction and installation activities.
Allocate workload and supervise maintenance personnel.
Oversee work schedules to ensure coverage.
Monitor equipment and supply inventory and place orders when necessary.
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
Ensure that all inspections, permits, and certificates are up to date.
Ensure that health and safety policies are complied with.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a plant manager or construction project supervisor.
Strong management skills with the ability to supervise teams.
Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Excellent leadership, management and mentoring skills.
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making abilities.
Supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
