The Georgia Department of Education•Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) is searching for an Agriculture Program Manager. Under limited supervision and collaboration with other CTAE Program Managers, the incumbent communicates verbally and in writing provides leadership and strategic direction for the development and improvement of statewide agriculture education programs. Duties include but are not limited to: Develop goals, policies, and rules to support continuous improvement of CTAE programs; Conduct long-range planning and implementation of local plans for improvement Plan and direct the administrative function of the CTAE program Serve as State Advisor to the Georgia FFA Organization Provide direction and accountability for high school grant programs such as Young Farmers, short-term adult programs, food systems technology, youth camps, extended day and year, and industry certification; and Supervise statewide professional education staff Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following: Doctorate degree in vocational education, education administration, or a closely related field Experience managing multiple contracts and large budgets Experience working within the total CTAE program Excellent presentation and computer skills Consideration/interviews will begin as soon as a list of applicants is established.
