Assistant Dairy Farm Manager Mapleline Farm Hadley, MA 01035 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dairy farm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal husbandry and a passion for sustainable farming practices. This role requires working with a team, and possibly supervision of staff, management of dairy production processes, and ensuring the health and welfare of the animals. Duties Supervise daily operations in the dairy facility and report health incidents, events and any other herd health info to Manager. Daily feeding. Must be able to read and understand feed charts and operate machinery needed to feed. Manure management. Daily barn and stall cleaning and manage and work manure slurry system. Milk cows. Must be able to cover shifts and follow milking procedures and protocols. Perform heavy lifting as necessary for equipment handling and maintenance tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dairy facility. Qualifications Proven experience working on a dairy farm, milking, feeding and animal care. Strong knowledge of animal husbandry principles and practices. Experience operating farm tractors and machinery, and a basic understanding or experience in mechanical repairs. Experience with heavy lifting and physical labor associated with farm operations. Basic math skills for managing production metrics and inventory levels.

$18.50 – $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
