Position overview:
The Plant Manager oversees all daily operations of a manufacturing plant, ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role involves managing staff, optimizing production workflows, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Our manufacturing process is fairly simple for making portable stack racks: cut, weld and paint steel tubing.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations. Analyze workflow, labor, and equipment to maximize efficiency. Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs. Be responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results. Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions as needed. Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards. Address employee issues and ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts. Work with corporate managers on budgets, forecasting, and planning. Implement cost-effective solutions and supervise workers, schedules, and workflow. Oversee the shipping and receiving functions. Qualifications Proven work experience as a Plant Manager or similar role. Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources). Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise. Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes. Strong computer literacy. Ability to create accountability and lead by example. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Local near to Como, MS (or willing to relocate)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred. Several years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a track record of managing production and operations.
