Farm Manager Position Available In Brunswick, North Carolina

Farm Manager Soggy Bottoms Farms, LLC 842 Ocean West Highway, Supply, NC 28462 We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations on our farm. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agricultural practices, animal husbandry, and equipment operations and maintenance. This role requires strong and effective leadership skills to manage the health of crops and livestock. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day farm operations, including planting, growing, and harvesting crops. Maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilize equipment, vehicles, and power tools safely for various tasks around the farm. Conduct regular inspections of crops and livestock to monitor health and growth progress. Implement sustainable farming practices to enhance productivity while minimizing environmental impact. Keep accurate records of farm activities, including crop yields, equipment maintenance, and labor hours. Coordinate logistics for the transportation of goods and supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all staff. Qualifications Proven experience in farm management or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of livestock and equine care is a plus. Experience with welding and equipment repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with various types of farm machinery and their operation is essential. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely within the farm environment. Ability to work independently, coupled with strong communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of farm management.
