YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bayer is seeking a highly skilled and motivated S&T Global Controlled Environmental Manager to guide our Controlled Environment Technology team.
This role will be pivotal in conducting and overseeing daily operations, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of plants, seed, and assay data for Crop Science, including Regulatory Science. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in controlled environment operations, project management, and a strong understanding of plant care and breeding processes. The primary responsibilities of this role, S&T Global Controlled Environmental Manager, are to: + Advise the CE team, ensuring effective execution of daily operations and meeting timelines; + Develop and implement strategies to optimize product development and technical innovation within controlled environments; + Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Biotechnology and Breeding, to solve complex challenges and align goals; + Drive engagement and data analytics strategies to match controlled environment supply with prioritized demand, ensuring mutual agreement on timelines and objectives; + Coordinate team workflows, digital advancements, and timelines in collaboration with key stakeholders; + Utilize data-driven approaches to experimental design, making informed go/no-go decisions based on quantitative outcomes; + Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring team members and promoting innovative problem-solving; + Ensure compliance with environmental safety, regulatory standards, and quality performance metrics; + Mentor peers/colleagues in areas of expertise.

WHO YOU ARE
- Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science, Biotechnology, or a related field; + Strong project management skills with a track record of managing multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment; + Demonstrated ability to foster a team culture focused on personal development, accountability, and continuous improvement; + Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and drive transformative changes.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ A minimum of 5 years of experience in controlled environment technology, plant production, or a related area, with at least 5 years in a leadership role; + Proficiency with digital tools. This posting will be available for application until at least July 1, 2025. Relocation may be offered for this role.
