Position Overview:

The General Manager is responsible for the full oversight of day-to-day operations at our licensed cannabis dispensary in Monroe Township, NJ. This includes driving business growth, maintaining full compliance with New Jersey cannabis laws, leading staff, and serving as the key point of contact for regulatory bodies and the local community. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with all NJ-CRC and Monroe Township cannabis regulations, including surveillance, METRC inventory tracking, and waste disposal. Manage license renewals, municipal tax filings (e.g., 2% local tax), and compliance audits. Oversee required employee training on cannabis regulations, safety, and responsible sales. Operations Management Supervise daily operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, and inventory reconciliation. Maintain accurate METRC records for all cannabis products. Resolve inventory discrepancies within 24 hours. Optimize store layout and signage per township guidelines. Staff Leadership Hire, train, and manage a team of 15-20 employees, including budtenders, inventory specialists, and security staff. Conduct performance reviews and corrective actions in line with NJ labor laws. Financial Oversight Develop budgets and manage dispensary-level P&L. Meet monthly sales goals using data-driven strategies. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate supply contracts. Community Engagement Attend township meetings and represent the dispensary in all local communications. Partner with cannabis educators to host community workshops on responsible use.

Qualifications Required:

Must be 21+ with no cannabis license violations in the past 5 years. Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field. 5+ years of retail management experience, including 2+ years in cannabis. Certified in METRC and proficient with Dutchie or other POS systems.

Preferred:

Familiarity with Gloucester County market trends. Experience with NJ municipal tax reporting for cannabis businesses.
