Respiratory Care Practitioner / Branch Lead Summary This dual role combines the responsibilities of a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) and a Branch Lead. You will not only deliver exceptional respiratory care services, coaching, and education to patients, but also take on additional branch leadership responsibilities. As a Branch Lead, you will support day-to-day team operations, oversee scheduling and administrative processes, assist in recruitment and onboarding, and act as a vital communication bridge between the frontline team and leadership. While not a formal supervisor position, this role is key to maintaining operational excellence, fostering teamwork, and enhancing patient and team experiences. Complete patient setups, coach patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, and provide disease education. Educate patients on equipment usage, patient rights, financial responsibility, and collect payments and signatures when applicable. Perform regular patient checks, including limited physical examinations, vitals, breath sounds, O2 saturation, and lung capacity tests. Assess patient needs and collaborate with other functions to ensure whole patient care. Complete all documentation, charting, and Plan of Care requirements accurately and timely. Participate in on-call rotation as assigned. Lead scheduling and timecard approval for the branch, ensuring operational and payroll accuracy. Support recruitment efforts by assisting with interviews, onboarding, and team introductions. Facilitate the completion of annual performance reviews under supervisor guidance. Act as a conflict escalation point, working with leadership and People Experience to resolve issues. Coordinate team communications and improvement initiatives at the branch. Monitor daily branch operations and provide task delegation as needed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements:
Respiratory Care Practitioner / Branch Lead Minimum Qualifications and Skills Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field required. Current Respiratory Therapist License in good standing within the state of employment required. Clean driving record required. Two years of applicable experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to foster teamwork. Strong customer service, decision-making, organizational, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general technology usage. Working Conditions Driving, standing, walking, and lifting for 8+ hours per day. Must be able to regularly lift up to 55 pounds. Combination of clinical, administrative, and leadership duties. May require flexibility during peak periods or special projects.
