05/15/2025 We open Stratton Brook Hut for summer operations mid-May and are looking for one full-time staff to join us as a hut caretaker under the supervision of the Operations Manager. Stratton Hut is our highest elevation hut, with dramatic views of the Bigelow Mountain Range, with hiking and mountain bike trails directly outside the door. Responsibilities Orienting groups with the hut, hosting, and providing assistance during their stay.
Operating the energy, communications, & waste systems at the hut.
Maintaining and cleaning the hut and bunkhouses.
Keeping inventory of supplies and providing needs to Operations Director on a regular basis.
Preparing and selling food and beverages on weekends and during events when the hut is not reserved. The job is May 15 through October 13, and is 40 hours a week. Ending date is flexible. Pay is $16/hour plus $1/hour food stipend and includes lodging at Stratton Brook Hut. Email cover letter and resume to employment@mainehuts.org
