General Responsibility:
This position will help train quality assurance employees with the help of supervisors in all aspects of HACCP, SSOP’s, and all regulatory paperwork. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment. Looks for improvement opportunities within the department and facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Train Quality Assurance Team Members. Verify daily paperwork in the department. Works with USDA and shipping to provide all paperwork required fo the export of product. Comply with all written corporate and plant policies. Be familiar with the various types of machinery throughout the processing plant. Have a strong working knowledge and understanding of HACCP, SSOP, etc. Reviews the necessary reports and forms to comply with all government regulations and company policies. Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies. Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products. Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects. Natural occurring defects would be not limited to: deformity, bruising in excess, infection, discoloration, abscess Processing defects would be but not limited to foreign material and out of spec product. Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official. Job Qualifications and Requirements:
1+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication skills.
