What You’ll Do:
As an Asphalt Plant Inspector, you’ll represent the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and ensure the quality of asphalt for FDOT projects. You’ll spend most of your time in the asphalt supplier’s lab, performing tests like sampling, temperature measurements, and density tests. The inspector performs various lab tests on the produced asphalt including sampling from the top of a loaded dump truck, temperature measurements, asphalt extractions, gradations, density tests and others. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and is self-motivated.
What You Need:
High School Diploma Valid Florida Driver’s License with a good driving record (you must be insurable.) Ability to lift up to 75 pounds Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) Good communication skills for daily interactions with
