Salary Summary:

Responsible for Hopper Barge Fleet Reliability including hopper barge repair process, inspections, maintaining inspection records, on and off-charter processing, barge scrapping process, resolving deficiencies, and overseeing corrective action processes. Responsible for equipment reliability such as tracking barge related failures and implementing solutions that reduce failures. Responsible for conducting/overseeing annual audits of the program and keeping all records for the program. Collaborates with internal teammates across departmental lines and externally with dry cargo customers and repair facilities on a regular basis. What you will be doing… Your IMPACT Partner with internal departments, internal / external shipyards, and regulatory authorities to maintain the hopper barge fleet and improve vessel reliability by identifying and reducing out of service days by creating action plans that also minimizing downtime and repair costs. Schedule and coordinate hopper barge hull gauge inspections and ensures required inspection records and documents are maintained per ACBL process. Maintain retirement records and coordinate with internal and external groups to finalize each retirement. Maintain hopper barge kpi data accurately to ensure proper forecasting. Manage and coordinate all hopper barge inspection activity of field personnel. Participate in audits and provide all necessary hopper barge inspection records. Review all completed inspection records and ensure all deficiencies are recorded. Performs all other duties as assigned. What we are looking for…

You will need to have:

10 years of experience directly related to hopper and or tank barge operations, inspections, construction, and repair processes Strong industry knowledge and the ability to learn/ understand the ACBL hopper barge fleet. Extensive working knowledge of all inland river barge regulations. Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time. Strong leadership competencies and self-motivated. Strong project management skill to efficiently maintain large hopper barge fleet. Strong professional communication and technical writing skills. Proficiency in MS Office software products. Valid driver’s license and TWIC card.

B.S. degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in using office productivity software such as Google G Suite or MS Office software products is preferred.
