The position is on the 1st shift working M-Th 10 hour days from 6am to 4 pm. Job Description The Winthrop Inspector handles the storage, handling to maintain its quality and to prevent damaged or out of spec goods. The Inspector ensures packaging and labeling are accurate, complete, and free from defects or errors using visual inspection by checking for any visible defects in the packaging or labeling, a functional inspection by testing the packaging for leaks, tears or poor closure, and a material inspection checking the quality and integrity of the materials to be packed. Verification of all labels to ensure they are accurate, complete, and legible to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements. The importance of inspections is to identify and correct any defects or errors in the packaging or labeling, catching problems early on, before they reach the consumer, ensuring the products are safe for the intended use, and maintaining the brand reputation, ensuring that products are packaged and labeled correctly, which helps build consumer trust. Must immediately bring all quality issues to the attention of the manager. The position requires very accurate near vision with or without glasses/contacts. Will adhere to all safety rules and safe work practices at all times and other duties as assigned.
