Orlando, FL Overview:
We are seeking Consulting Utility Foresters (CUFs) to support our electric cooperative customer’s vegetation management program. CUFs will develop and manage work plans for tree trimming, removals, and vegetation management while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong communication skills, technical expertise, and proficiency with work planning software.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed, unit-based work plans for vegetation management using specialized software. Communicate professionally with property owners regarding planned work and address concerns. Utilize computers, tablets, and software to document and track work plans. Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and production targets set by the electric cooperative.
Qualifications:
One of the following: ISA Certified Arborist OR 4 years of experience in utility line clearance with the ability to obtain ISA certification within 12 months OR Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Arboriculture, Forestry, or a related field with the ability to obtain ISA certification within 12 months. Strong communication skills for member interactions. Proficiency with computers, tablets, and work planning software. Fluent in English (Spanish proficiency is a plus).
Expectations:
CUFs must meet performance metrics for production and quality. Adherence to safety, compliance, and operational guidelines.
