About the Position Second-level professional forestry position accountable for planning, organizing, and developing forest protection, forest management, and administrative services programs. Jobs at this level prepare detailed forest management plans for landowners, mark timber, assist in locating timber markets, and supervise prescribed burning activities. What you’ll need to be Successful To succeed in forestry, one needs hard and soft skills, including ecological knowledge, technological proficiency, forest inventory and measurement, fire management, effective communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, and empathy. These skills are crucial for navigating forestry challenges and contributing to forest preservation and management. Preferred Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of experience and licensure as a Registered Forester.
