Job Description

Subject Matter Expert I (Contingent 0052) 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Huntsville, AL 35805 This position is contingent upon award and a secret security clearance is required. The location is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a specialized technical authority in Support Equipment (SE) development, acquisition, and lifecycle sustainment for UAS platforms. Provide expert analysis of SE requirements including diagnostic tools, maintenance platforms, and ground handling systems. Evaluate Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) processes to ensure compliance with MIL-STD and DoD standards. Review and refine PHS&T strategies including packaging methods, preservation specifications, container design, and transportation planning. Contribute to the development of SE and PHS&T documentation such as plans, risk assessments, and supportability strategies. Coordinate with program stakeholders to ensure SE and PHS&T efforts are integrated into UAS deployment and sustainment activities. Provide insights to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), acquisition reviews, and logistics strategy development based on subject matter expertise. Identify and mitigate risks in SE and PHS&T logistics chains, supporting efficient and secure system transport and handling. Deliver highly specialized technical support that exceeds standard role expectations and contributes uniquely to mission success. Adhere to the company policies, procedures and guidelines. Education :

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, technical, business, or management field, or equivalent experience from an accredited institution. (•An advanced degree is preferred but not required for this level.)

Experience:

A minimum of 8 years of specialized experience in defense, industrial, or acquisition environments directly related to the field of expertise. Recognized as possessing unique capability or insight out of the norm. Proven record of delivering expert input across acquisition, logistics, and/or technical domains in support of complex DoD programs.

Clearance:

SECRET clearance required.
