Job Description

TITLE Grounds Keeper

DESCRIPTION

Full time Must have valid Drivers License Monday – Friday 7am-3:30pm

Job Summary:

Performs all aspects of creating and maintaining a visually pleasing landscape.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Maintain flower beds by planting, weeding, and mulching as required.
Maintain annual flowers by eliminating dead heads as necessary.
Edge grass w appropriate.
Dig with shovel as assigned.
Trim trees, shrubs as assigned.
Pick up debris from roadways, sidewalks, and landscape
Operate leaf vacuum, mower, weed eater, and edger
Clean off roofs by using broom and blowers as needed.
Report safety concerns immediately to supervisor or upper management.

Educational, Physical, and Other Requirements:

Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable amodations. Physical requirements may include frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift, stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; and smell. Vision abilities may require close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
For the safety and security of our residents and patients, employees must be able to read, write, and verballymunicate in English, which is the most universally used language of our resident and employee population.
Must have knowledge of use and maintenance of basic hand and power tools required to perform job functions.
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, squat, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and use arms, hands and fingers to reach, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls.
Must possess a current, valid driver’s license

Must maintain a professional, respectful, friendly demeanor with all residents, family members, guests, and staff at all times.
