Position Summary:
CCM is seeking an applicant to join their newly created Equipment Control team within the Savannah office of the South Atlantic Chassis Pool. The Equipment Control Coordinator will orchestrate pool-level asset tracking, research and recovery, and inventory management in support of equipment validations, pool extraction programs, and lease termination projects. This includes documenting detailed steps to locate idle chassis and handle the induction and removal of chassis from the SACP. Candidates must be comfortable using a variety of web-based applications, engaging in phone/email coordination with terminals and depots, and able to work independently. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up, are essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Research flagged lost, missing, long-stay chassis in use. Watch and research any SACP chassis that are idle at Depots, Ports, and Rails. Assist the Data Department in reconciling depot and terminal issues. Ownership of chassis induction and de-cooping projects. Oversee and maintain the spreadsheets and reports for the coop and de-coop projects. Communicate with CCM management and Field Staff Communicate with Steamship lines, Contributors, Motor Carriers, Rail Roads, and Ports as needed. Prepare and disseminate information to management in the forms requested. Manage department projects (voluntary withdrawals, etc.) as assigned. Work alongside various internal teams. Provide a personable, professional, and customer experience over the phone and by email. Any other duties as assigned by the CCM Management team.
Requirements:
3-5 years’ intermodal equipment tracking experience, including gate controls preferred Transportation industry or supply chain background is required Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills Proficient in the use of web-based applications (CMS, Rail & Port Systems, preferred) Strong customer service and communications skills, both written and oral Ability to work independently
