We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Tool Room Technician for the Aviation Maintenance Support, supporting the All-Domain Defense Division.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
High School Graduate or GED
Three (3) years’ experience with documented training in the automotive or aviation field (either with the Contractor or by validation of qualifying factors to include documented prior military experience and training)or all nine (9) ASE certifications in Cars & Light Trucks with at least one (1) year of documented experience in the automotive/aviation field, they will be performing a wide area of maintenance actions on all assigned general aviation support equipment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Keeps records of tools issued to and returned by workers.
Prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed.
Unpacks and stores new equipment.
Visually inspects tools or measures with micrometers for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors.
May coat tools with grease or other preservatives, using brush or spray gun.
May attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment, using electric marking tool.
Complete other additional duties as assigned.
Maintain master inventory of every piece of equipment and perform audit semiannually.
Perform annual audit on individual and crew served tool kits.
Other duties as assigned.
+10% hourly rate differential for second shift
