The Meridian Health Plaza (MHP) Family Medicine Clinic is lookingfor a personable and hard-working Medical Assistant! Position Summary & Highlights This position will work with a busy Family Medicine providerand will also work with other MAs and providers as well in a greatworkplace culture. Our family medicine providers can address diagnosed healthconcerns early, before they become serious, as well as help youbetter manage existing conditions including physical, mental, andsocial health issues across all ages and stages of life.

What You Will Do:

This MA position will support a provider a few days a week andthen will either work as a float in the clinic or will conductnurse visits and review all in-basket tasks the other days of theweek. See Work Schedule below for details. I n addition to primary MA duties, you will administerimmunizations, complete child well visits, and assist with minorprocedures. You will also perform phlebotomy, POC testing, UAs, earlavages, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox. An Ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, solidfollow through, and has strong critical thinking skills. You also like working in a strong team environment, haveeffective communication skills, and providing excellent patientcare!

Work Schedule:

36 hours per week, 4 – 9-hour days. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (Wednesdays off) Hours are still being determined, but most likely around thehours of 7:00am – 5:00pm.

Minimum Requirements :

High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire. MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one ofthe following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Healthcare Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)

New Graduates:

1) MA certificate of completion required from anaccredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MAexternship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externshiphours even with MA certification. Medical Assistant with

Experience:

1 Year of MA experience ORCurrent MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listedabove. Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification fromeither AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required athire. Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing anMA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year.
