This position will be supporting a busy Pediatric physician andwork along side other MAs and RNs. Saint Alphonsus pediatric primary care providers are committedto treating each child like they are one of a kind because theyare. From well-child visits and immunizations to diagnosing andtreating chronic conditions, our goal is to help ensure your childgrows up with every opportunity to be healthy and happy.
What YouWill Do:
This MA position will help support a very busy and establishedPediatric physician that sees patients from infant to teens. Perform rooming, collect patient medical history, and takevitals. Administer immunizations and work closely with the providers onsome minor procedures such as circumcisions. You will also complete prior authorizations and tasks andorders in the task inbox. Pediatrics is a unique specialty in that not only is the childthe patient, but their parents are also typically present at theclinic visit. An ideal candidate is passionate about working with kids andparents, has a sense of urgency, is team-oriented and flexible, andenjoys a fun and fast-paced work environment! An ideal candidate for this position has previous experienceworking with pediatric patients and strong experience withimmunizations.

- Friday, 7:00am
- 5:30pm, 40 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire. MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one ofthe following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Healthcare Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
New Graduates:
1) MA certificate of completion required from anaccredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MAexternship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externshiphours even with MA certification. Medical Assistant with
Experience:
1 Year of MA experience ORCurrent MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listedabove. Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification fromeither AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required athire.
- Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completingan MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1year.
