$68K – $95.8K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Outdoor work Military Basic math Maintenance Mid-level Microsoft Office High school diploma or GED Driver’s License Bachelor’s degree Computer skills 1 year Communication skills Full Job Description Primary purpose: To facilitate the movement of petroleum and chemical products from and between the docks, tank farm, pipelines, trucks, railcars, etc. in a safe manner Essential duties and responsibilities: Align tanks, ships, barges and pipelines for the transfer of product both in and out of the storage tanks, to and from modes on transportation (i.e., Barge, ship, tank car, rail car, etc.) Required to follow established standards, special customer requirements, and inventory control procedures Sampling and tagging of product movements, movements, store samples, review product data sheets Prepare accurate and complete documentation for all product movements Requires Climbing tank stairs, operating valves, pumps, and gauging tanks Basic use of mechanical tools (pipe-wrench, open/close end wrenches) Position Requirements Minimum requirements :
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalency
Highly Desirable:
Two or four year degree any discipline or honorable discharge any branch US military or three years terminal operations/maintenance experience or five years general industrial experience.
Experience / specific knowledge:
Knowledge in the use of measuring devices, like gauging tapes, thermometers, tapes measures, etc. Knowledge of basic computer skills, excel, work Microsoft office and outlook During the probationary period the employee must display an aptitude to learn, manifolds, tank configuration, line systems and pass tests related to this training Must be able to perform basic math skills that will encompass, adding and subtracting fractions, word problems, percentages, mixed numbers, decimals, and basic mechanics Certifications, licenses, registrations: Must possess and maintain a valid driver license to operate pick-up to and from tank farm Competencies, skills, and abilities: High level of attention to detail Strong work ethic and dependability Must poses strong verbal and written communication skills Self motivated with ability to complete tasks with minimum direction Team player Physical demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 to 60 lbs Ability to walk up and down stairs/ladders Working conditions: Will be required to wear PPE, steel toed shoes/boots, goggles and respirators Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions will be required to work outside Negotiate uneven surfaces Subject to background check and mandatory drug screen/on-going random testing Other duties as assigned Supervisory responsibility: None Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities: Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position: Basic pipefitting will be helpful Other responsibilities: Other duties as assigned
