This position also:
Is responsible for directing the activities of hundreds of park ambassadors across multiple disciplines to include maintenance, horticulture, aquatics, grounds, pool cleaning, park cleanliness, training, and scheduling teams. Is responsible for operating expenses in general services, horticulture, and park operations Oversee all aspects of facility and ride maintenance of all slides and attractions and collaborate directly with outside vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure maintenance that enhances park assets and guest experiences This position also acts as project coordinator for capital expenses with all departments at AIT Directly responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt and tracking of chemicals, as well as the physical integrity of pools and water quality of all water rides and attractions to ensure compliance with regulatory statutes and company standards and to uphold ambassador and guest safety. Other duties as required including assisting other locations, departments and areas as needed at AIT and BGT. Position includes being involved in rotational Park Duty Manager schedule.
What it takes to succeed:
Must be 18 years of age Must have 5 years of progressively responsible theme park leadership experience or equivalent 5 years of maintenance and/or rides maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Have and maintain a valid state driver’s license; visiting applicants and military must have a valid driver’s license from state of residency and able to provide a copy of the DMV report. Must be able to obtain a park driver’s license NAARSO and/or AIMS and CPO certified preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain this certification within 1 year Working knowledge of hand, electrical, power and air tools Able to operate mechanical devices such as forklifts, telehandlers, and boom lifts Able to climb and work at heights up to 200+ feet using a ladder or stairs or other equipment such as manlift Previous water park or resort experience working with water chemistry and water quality preferred Pass a maintenance exam on all rides to be maintained Pass an paperwork audit on all rides that are maintained Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of people, including guests, ambassadors and the general public Proven priority management skills Able to draft reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals Strong mathematical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, SAP, Parkware, Budgetware and Business Objects reporting preferred Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment Able to lift or move up to 50 lbs Able to stand on ladders for extended periods of time Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (i.e., sunlight, wet and/or humid conditions) Demonstrated adaptability and openness to change
