JOB DESCRIPTION

The Landscape Operations Manager serves as the primary contact for Our clients and oversees the operations for multiple landscape maintenance accounts. The focus will be on client retention and ancillary sales. Services include ground maintenance, irrigation maintenance, landscape enhancements, and Arbor Care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

You will perform a wide variety of landscape maintenance functions related to the daily performance of contracted services.

This includes:

Communication with the customer, planning and scheduling the services to be performed, and working alongside the general manager to complete tasks. Responsible for equipment maintenance, payroll reporting, completion of all services, gross margins, and reporting progress to the General Manager. Accountable for managing a portfolio of commercial landscape maintenance accounts for regular maintenance, water management, seasonal color, chemical and all aspects of landscape maintenance. Responsible for field quality control. Assists in training and advancement of crew members and leaders. Additional functions may be required at the request of the General Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of experience in landscape maintenance and related fields. 3+ years of customer service experience. Must be fluent in English and Spanish. Demonstrate strong administrative paperwork and organizational skills. Accurately and consistently complete all required paperwork. Demonstrate excellent leadership skills with ability to manage employees. Prove strong initiative with ability to work with limited direct supervision. Strong communication skills to interact with customers as necessary. Forecast labor, materials and equipment needs. Adhere to, and enforce all company policies, standards, and safety guidelines. Meet or exceed company production rates set forth. Identify and correct all unsafe conditions and practices and communicate actions to the General Manager. Comfortable with sales and talking to clients. Ability to work with other employees as a team. Knowledge of plant material, trees, and palms Attention to detail when working in a fast-paced environment. Good time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Punctual and dependable. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite – e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams. A valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but a combination of education and experience will be considered. Landscape industry / horticulture certifications preferred (FNGLA, ISA, LIAF) Must pass a pre-employment screening including Level-2 Background Check and drug test. Adhere to grooming standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook, including no visible tattoos and short nails.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work in and around various landscaping settings including direct contact with various plant and landscaping materials and exposure to various dust, noise, and weather conditions. Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
