The starting salary range for this position is $24.11 – $27.72, depending on qualificationsUnder the general direction of the Manager, Golf Course Maintenance, responsible for overseeing maintenance work of the City-owned golf course. Works a varied shift including weekends and holidays. Hours subject to change. Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the CityThis position requires scheduled/unscheduled overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays and/or immediate response to emergency conditions.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Schedules and oversees the routine maintenance operations of the golf course.
Assists superintendent with the maintenance of entire playing surfaces of golf course, i.e., greens, tees, fairways, slopes, bunkers, practice greens, and driving range.
Assists with the maintenance of landscape of main entrance roads, parking lots, and clubhouse.
Assists in the preparation and maintenance of the annual budget of the golf course.
Oversee the maintenance of aquatic weed control and washout levels of lakes.
Assists with the plans, designs, and installs irrigation systems, and drainage systems for golf course.
Maintains records and ensures accuracy of all fertilization and pesticide application files.
Assists with the maintenance of current irrigation and drainage systems.
Assists with the daily maintenance of the clubhouse, restrooms, floors, trash, etc. Other duties as may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the City’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
