Job Description
A private family is seeking a maintenance manager/groundsman to oversee their property in Boston, GA, (Thomasville area). The role will be live-out, and the family will consider a relocation package. The standard schedule will be a five day work week with 2 days off, about 40-50 hours per week. Though when the family, or visitors are in residence, for about six months per year you must be flexible with the days and hours, as it will be much busier than other times of the year. When the residence is not in season the candidate may need to travel to other family properties, as needed to support the family’s needs. The candidate should have prior hands-on, maintenance management/groundsman experience. They must be comfortable working with vendors, understand basic landscaping, and be handy with minor repairs and have the ability to troubleshoot initially and then either fix or call in the appropriate vendor. The role is to start as soon as possible. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; Ensure that all homes and buildings are ready for arrival Oversee all aspects of arrivals and departures, including ground transportation and luggage delivery Coordinate with hospitality coordinator during family and guest’s time in residence Dealing with vendors on/off the property. Have a hands on approach around the property•including the upkeep, cleaning, and maintaining of the pool, and pool deck, and all buildings on the property Understanding of HVAC, electrics, and plumbing, etc on the property prior to calling in a vendor Manage the gardens, grounds, and irrigation systems Handyman skills•able to fix machines and objects Have a daily walk through of the property making sure everything is in working order Handle annual budgets for the property
