Supervisor Gardens

JOB SUMMARY

Provide efficient, courteous and attentive services to residents and their guest under the direction of The Gardens Director of Nursing and Executive Director. Will be responsible for day to day operations, ensuring a safe environment and will assist with residents medication. Will work primarily with adults and geriatric residents.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Required Graduate Practical Nurse of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.

Licensure:

Desired LPN with current license in the state of Georgia or current temporary permit. Current CPR certification from approved program.

Requirements:

According to the Personal Care Home guidelines, staff must receive training in: CPR, emergency evacuation procedures, medical and social needs and characteristics of the resident population, resident rights, and receive a copy of the Long Term Care Abuse reporting act within the first sixty (60) days of employment.

Experience:

Previous experience with geriatric residents desirable.

Skills:

Nursing skills as defined in the law governing the Practice of Licensed Practical Nursing in Georgia. Must have a sincere desire to work with geriatrics and possess knowledge of medical and social needs of geriatric residents. Must demonstrate ability to follow instructions and use proper body mechanics. Must demonstrate effective time management skills, show caring friendly attitude and support the values of our organization.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in supportive care setting with residents experiencing a wide range of needs. Required to work flexible schedule including some holidays and weekends. Requires full range of body motion, which may include handling and lifting patients. Good manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination are required. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Ability to read, write and follow oral instructions.
